Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Security/Building Support staff member for Kenwood Trail Middle School in Lakeville, MN. The role focuses on enforcing building security, monitoring student behavior, assisting with study halls and detention, and supporting attendance procedures while maintaining strong relationships with students and families.

Security-Building Support
Kenwood Trail Middle School

5.75 hours per day, 28.75 hours per week 174 days per year

Start and end times: 7:00-12:45 p.m.

Position begins 10/8/2026

Position Summary:

The Security/Building Support staff assists administrators by enforcing the security of the building and personnel, monitors student behavior in school, hallways and parking lots and assists with study halls, in-school suspension, and detention. Collaborates with other team members/staff and works well with high school students. This position is also responsible for all attendance procedures in the building by working directly and indirectly with students, staff, and parents while building and maintaining relationships modeling the PantherWay. This position also supports the staff and administration with all copying needs.

Position Requirements:

• 1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2. PC & Mac Knowledge.
• 3. Ability to use Microsoft Office and be proficient with the following programs: Excel; Word; and Powerpoint.
• 4. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Position classified LEAF B-2-1, starting salary $21.18- $25.38per hour depending on experience
