Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a dedicated cleaning and maintenance worker for an evening shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) in Lakeville, MN. The role covers cleaning classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and event spaces, ensuring a clean, safe environment in our district serving about 12,000 students across multiple schools.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 12 feet.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the school and its site.
• Cleans classrooms, offices, hallways, entryways, restrooms, and other common areas of the school on a regular basis and after events.
• Dusts, cleans, sanitizes surfaces within the school including windows, ledges, desks, tables, countertops.
• Performs specialized cleaning at certain times of the year including stripping and waxing floors.
• Complies with health and safety codes, including OSHA standards.
• Performs minor building maintenance including bulb replacement, furniture repair, and basic repairs to plumbing, heating and electrical equipment.
• Sets up furniture and equipment for community use and school events.
