Job summary

Disney Cruise Line – The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Security Engineer – Software Engineer to join the GIS security team in Seattle, WA. You will develop security automation, maintain deployment pipelines, and help scale security tooling across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell), knowledge of OpenSearch/PostgreSQL, and experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM, GDM).

Qualifications

• 3+ years scripting to automate security tasks.
• Knowledge of data stores like OpenSearch or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with IaC tools and cloud deployments.
• Ability to learn across multiple technical areas and work with security best practices.
• Experience with production deployments and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Develop security automation within the Security Development and Design team.
• Maintain code deployment pipelines using GitLab or similar CI/CD tools.
• Optimize security tool deployments and scale processes across Cyber Security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support information security programs.
• Build and maintain platforms to host applications under security requirements.
• Maintain runbooks for incident response and application support.
• Support monitoring solutions and alerting capabilities.
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to security initiatives.
• Research new technologies and assess their fit for team capabilities.
