Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is seeking a security professional to strengthen cybersecurity across the organization. The role is onsite in Saint George, UT and focuses on security engineering, incident response, automation, and continuous improvement.

You will design and maintain security controls, support security solutions, and collaborate with technical teams to enhance detection, response, and governance. A strong emphasis on practical outcomes and rapid incident handling is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of information security experience.
• Working knowledge of security operations, incident response, and security monitoring.
• Experience administering, supporting, or integrating enterprise security technologies.
• Experience with scripting, automation, APIs, or workflow orchestration.
• Understanding of endpoint, network, email, web app, and infrastructure security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and improve cybersecurity controls and technologies across the environment.
• Support evaluation, testing, deployment, and ongoing use of security solutions.
• Assist with security reviews for infrastructure, network, and application projects.
• Develop and maintain security standards, procedures, technical documentation, and runbooks.
• Identify opportunities to enhance security posture through technology and process improvements.
• Investigate security alerts, suspicious activity, and potential incidents.
• Participate in incident containment, response, recovery, and lessons learned.
