Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to support a federal customer in a remote role. You will design and operate automated security controls, scans, and evidence collection within DevSecOps environments to embed security into software delivery.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in cybersecurity/engineering, hands-on tool experience (SAST/DAST/IAST), scripting, and cloud/security frameworks. A Secret clearance is preferred and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in security engineering or related field.
Hands-on experience with application security, DevSecOps tooling, vulnerability management, or compliance automation.
Experience scripting or developing integrations to automate security checks, evidence collection, reporting, and remediation workflows.
Working knowledge of secure software development and cloud/security control frameworks.
Ability to obtain a 6c Public Trust; active Secret clearance preferred; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Integrate and operate SAST, DAST, IAST, SBOM, secrets scanning, and IaC security reviews.
Automate collection, normalization, and routing of findings into approved workflows and repositories.
Develop security gates, policy checks, dashboards, notifications, and exception workflows.
Support continuous penetration testing activities and remediation workflows.
Align security automation with NIST SP 800-218, CIS benchmarks, and customer standards.
Collaborate with developers to remediate findings and improve secure pipelines.
