Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Avon, Ohio is seeking a vigilant asset protection team member to deter theft and safeguard customers and associates.

You will actively engage with shoppers, respond to alerts, verify receipts, document incidents, and uphold safety protocols while learning new technology solutions to support store operations. You will collaborate with store leadership, participate in training, and help maintain a safe shopping environment for families and associates across all departments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of customer service or asset protection experience.
• Clear and professional written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and quickly resolve unsafe conditions and situations.
• Prevent theft through an active presence and engagement with customers entering and exiting.
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, and resolve alarms.
• Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm activity incidents.

Prevents theft through constant awareness of customer activity and urgently engaging with customers to validate receipts and recover unpaid merchandise.
