Job summary

A leading entertainment company is seeking a Security Manager to oversee daily operations within the Security department. Responsibilities include supervising staff, enforcing compliance with gaming laws, and ensuring superior customer service. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and experience in security or law enforcement. Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and manage daily operations in the Security department.
  • Ensure customer service standards are upheld by all team members.
  • Conduct security post inspections and maintain reports.
  • Promote customer service standards and resolve issues professionally.
  • Act as Security Manager on duty in absence of Shift Manager.
  • Enforce internal control policies and provide compliance with laws.
  • Maintain safety and inspection reports; conduct post inspections.
  • Prepare incident reports and logs.
  • Respond to concerns and resolve problems with professionalism.
  • Ensure uniform dress and grooming standards.
  • Interact with regulatory, fire/rescue and law enforcement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and report issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality; staff development and training.
  • Oversee rewards/recognition and staff performance feedback.
  • Assist staffing decisions including interviewing and scheduling.
  • Manage workflows and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Security department. Supports, administers, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
  • May be responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Serves as the Security Manager on duty in the absence of the Security Shift Manager
  • Enforce internal control policies and procedures including but not limited too; underage gambling and drinking laws.
  • Maintain safety and inspections reports for the property.
  • Conduct regular security post inspections.
  • Prepare security incident reports and maintain security logs.
  • Respond to guests and employees’ concerns and complaints and solve their problems with professionalism and compassion.
  • Ensure security officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards consistent with department and company standards.
  • Interact and cooperate with regulatory, fire/rescue and law enforcement agencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees regarding performance.
  • Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; or three (3) years of casino Security, military, or law enforcement experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience writing reports and basic business correspondence.
  • Comfortable speaking with managers, guests, and team members and answering questions as needed.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to handle problems and conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
