Job summary

JRC Careers in Titusville, FL is seeking a Security Assistant/Analyst to support the Navy PMO under the Command Security Manager. The role focuses on security program management (personnel, physical, information, industrial) and related administrative duties within SPF10 Operations and Administration.

Responsibilities include handling classified materials per DoD regulations, processing visit requests, badge issuance, and providing access within SPF spaces. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance required.
  • 3+ years of administrative and security experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of DoD/DON security policies.

We are actively searching for a talented Security Assistant/Analyst to assist the Navy’s Program Management Office (PMO) in Titusville, FL, with guidance from the Command Security Manager in areas of security program management (personnel, physical, information, and industrial) program execution, and administrative functions within the SPF10 Operations and Administration Division.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure classified documents are properly received, marked, and stored in accordance with Navy and Department of Defense regulations.
  • Prepare and package classified material for shipping and mailing.
  • Create outgoing visit requests within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or current program.
  • Process incoming visit requests and confirm clearance and access level for visitors to SPS within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or current program.
  • Process badge requests for new employees and visitors.
  • Provide access for employees, visitors, contractors, etc. within SPF spaces.
  • Conduct briefings for newly appointed or transferred/terminated personnel and for those requiring foreign‑travel briefings.
  • Conduct inventories and destruction.
  • Ensure effective personnel, physical, industrial, and information security programs are established and maintained.
  • Provide liaison support for SPF Detachments and SPF Command.
  • Assist with other administrative support efforts as required by the technical director/manager.
  • Travel on an as‑needed basis.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Experience: 3+ years of administrative and security experience.
  • Clearance: Must have and maintain an active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.
  • Knowledge of Communications Security (COMSEC).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with department heads, technical managers and senior leadership.
  • Utilization of automated computer systems and software, such as a spreadsheet/database program, to create, update, revise, sort, reformat, and/or manipulate data.
  • Familiarity with DoD/DON security policies and procedures.
  • Skill to apply fact‑finding and investigative techniques to measure and improve program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment with little direction, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
