Job summary

Regional Government Services Authority seeks an experienced Security Manager - Security Architecture & Data Protection to shift security left and embed secure-by-design across applications, cloud, and data. You will evaluate cloud architectures, data flows, and privacy considerations, translating risks into practical recommendations for CalSAWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Six (6) years of progressively responsible security architecture/security roles in multi-cloud environments, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Hands-on security architecture reviews for complex enterprise systems; data protection-by-design and access controls; encryption and key management.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture reviews for new and changing technologies across applications, cloud, integrations, and data.
• Evaluate security risks and design decisions; establish effective controls to protect sensitive information.
• Partner with innovation, application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to advance secure-by-design practices.
• Strengthen enterprise data protection capabilities across CalSAWS' environment.
