Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a senior security-oriented engineer to design and operate the security control plane for global infrastructure. You will own PKI lifecycle, identity integration, and automated deprovisioning across on-prem and cloud sites, ensuring rapid, secure failover and disaster recovery.

You will implement reproducible, scalable security architectures, and contribute to a world-class security program around frontier compute infrastructure.

Qualifications

• You've designed and run a production virtualization and clustered storage platform.
• You've been the design authority on an architecture other people built against.
• You've owned database high availability and recovery.
• You run PKI and certificate lifecycle as automation.
• You've integrated identity systems so provisioning and deprovisioning happen without a human in the loop.
• You've replaced a vendor-managed system with reproducible infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design the security control plane end to end and make architecture decisions the rest of the platform locks against.
• Build and operate that control plane at every site, on premises where resilience is needed.
• Own PKI, certificate lifecycle, identity integration, and automated deprovisioning.
• Build integrations, APIs, and monitoring to detect degradation before tickets are filed.
• Replace vendor-managed patterns with reproducible infrastructure.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and non-production environments.
