The Sisters of the Humility of Mary are currently seeking a responsible and dependable Security and Facilities Associate to help ensure the safety and security of our campus during evening and weekend hours. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe environment for all campus occupants while also responding to maintenance issues and emergencies as they arise.
In this position, you will be expected to patrol the campus to monitor for safety concerns, check the operation of boilers and other equipment, lock and unlock buildings at scheduled times, and respond promptly to calls for assistance. Additional responsibilities include escorting employees when needed, stoking a wood burner at the farm, clearing snow and applying salt to walkways, and performing routine chemical tests at the pool and water well. You will also be responsible for documenting any unusual incidents and reporting them to your supervisor, while always adhering to safety procedures and operational guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, along with at least three months of related experience or training. A basic understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
