Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in information technology or information security field.
• Four years of relevant work experience may substitute education.
• Two years of experience in supporting large SOC operations.

Responsibilities

• Continuously review and correlate security events across SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and threat intel to identify incidents.
• Perform deep-dive analysis, validate incidents, determine root cause, and escalate to Tier 3 as needed.
• Create detailed incident reports, timelines, and post-incident summaries; contribute to lessons learned.
• Investigate user-reported phishing, malware infections, and policy violations; advise containment actions.
• Update SOC playbooks and detection rules to reduce false positives and improve coverage.
• Collaborate with engineering to configure/tune monitoring tools and integrate new threat feeds.
• Proactively hunt for threats using up-to-date TTPs.
• Serve as a customer-facing SME, demonstrating capabilities and resolving issues.
• Document processes, runbooks, and troubleshooting steps for SOC operations.
• Coordinate with engineering, SOC, and client staff to meet goals.
