Security Analyst III
Location: Wisconsin Only | Remote/Hybrid
Work Arrangement: Up to 5 days remote; onsite at least quarterly or as needed
Contract: Through 06/30/2027 + possible extension
Work Authorization: Any Visa
Rate: $35/hr
We are seeking an experienced Security Analyst III to serve as a Security Liaison supporting Medicaid-related programs and integrating information security into business and technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate security best practices into program operations and initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between business teams and Information Security.
- Communicate security risks and mitigation strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support audits, assessments, incident response, and regulatory activities.
- Gather compliance artifacts and develop corrective action plans.
- Support vulnerability management for programs and vendors.
- Develop and maintain System Security & Privacy Plans (SSPP).
- Support transition from MARS-E to ARC-AMPE compliance requirements.
- Conduct GAP analysis with security, technology, and consulting teams.
- Support software, cloud, and AI use-case security reviews.
- Prepare status reports, concept papers, proposals, briefs, and other security documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of information security and security risk management.
- Experience with vulnerability management, compliance, audits, or vendor management.
- Familiarity with NIST or another recognized security framework.
- Strong security documentation and technical writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
Certification Requirement
A federally recognized ANSI information security certification meeting the relevance of DOD 8570 baseline certifications must be obtained within 6 months of start.
Important Requirements
- Wisconsin residents only – NO relocation.
- Must be physically located in the United States.
- Candidate must be available during CST business hours.
- Must be prepared to report onsite with short notice when required.
- At least quarterly onsite attendance is expected.
- Three professional references required; one must be supervisory.
- Real-time photo may be required for interview.
- Two-round virtual interview process; onsite interview may also be required.
- AI assistance is prohibited during interviews.
- Background check/fingerprinting may be required.
- No travel or on-call requirement.
- Candidates must provide their own remote-work equipment.
- No work outside the United States.
