Position Summary

The Security Analyst I provides managed security services to customers including assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, and audit activities. Will perform and/or assist with security response, analysis, and remediation efforts in collaboration with customer and internal IT teams.

Essential Responsibilities

• Monitor security assessments and events
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and identify devices, perform remediation
• Perform regular system vulnerability scans and assist with remediation efforts
• Support audits and compliance activities related to information security
• Triage threats alerts, confirm false positive or actual threat, review virus total score/threshold
• Onboard new and existing customers to security services
• Produce security reports and provide reports to customers via portal and email
• Assist with security awareness training
• Work on or assist with projects, documentation and assessment deliverables
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with network systems and server operating systems
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts
• Familiarity with security principles, security testing tools, backup/recovery tools and vulnerability/monitoring tools
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Customer focused, team and goal oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Associate degree from two-year college or technical school
• Minimum of two years experience in cybersecurity training
• Certification(s): Security+, CISA, CISM, CEH, CNDA, LPT, CISSP, etc
