Job summary

Rover is seeking a Security Analyst to join our Information Security team in Seattle. You will drive vulnerability management across our SaaS systems and AWS-hosted apps, using Splunk and other tools to enhance monitoring, detection, and response, with a focus on applying AI and automation to reduce toil.

In this hybrid role, you’ll be based in the Greater Seattle Area, with two days per week at the Downtown Seattle Office (Mondays and Thursdays).

Qualifications

• BS in computer science, information systems, information security, or equivalent.
• 3+ years in information security, security operations, or vulnerability management.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Splunk or similar SIEM tooling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of security technologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature Rover's vulnerability management program across SaaS and AWS.
• Support day-to-day security operations, alerts, and investigations.
• Build Splunk searches, dashboards, and alerts to improve monitoring.
• Apply AI and automation to security ops and reporting workflows.
• Prepare documentation for audits (SOX, PCI, GDPR, CCPA).
• Evaluate and propose enhancements to security plans and processes.
• Develop analyses of incidents and their business impact.
• Research emerging security trends to keep defenses current.
• Provide security recommendations to leadership.
• Promote security awareness across Rover.
