CROSSROADS ELECTRONICS & SECURITY, LLC is seeking a Security Alarm Installer for a full-time, on-site role based in Salina, KS. You will install, configure, test security alarm systems, CCTV, and access control devices at customer locations, and manage low-voltage wiring.

You will document work, program control panels, and provide user training while following safety protocols and collaborating with the team to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing and servicing security alarm systems, CCTV, and access control equipment, or related low-voltage electronics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, manuals, and installation instructions with basic electrical/low-voltage knowledge.
• Comfort using hand and power tools, ladders, and routing/ securing cabling.
• Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail for diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Clear, professional communication to interact with customers and team members, and provide user guidance on installed systems.
• Reliable time management and the ability to work independently on-site while following safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally to customer locations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational electronics training or certifications are beneficial.
• Willingness to undergo background checks as required.
• Experience in security, electrical, telecommunications, or related trades is a plus.

Role Description

The Security Alarm Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Salina, KS. Daily responsibilities include installing, configuring, and testing security alarm systems, cameras, access control devices, and related equipment at customer locations. The role involves running and terminating low-voltage wiring, mounting hardware, programming control panels, and verifying proper system operation. The installer will diagnose and repair system issues, provide routine maintenance, and document work performed according to company standards. This position requires regular interaction with customers to explain system functions, provide basic user training, and ensure a positive service experience. The Security Alarm Installer is expected to follow safety protocols, maintain tools and company equipment, and collaborate with team members and management to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with installing and servicing security alarm systems, CCTV, or access control equipment, or related low-voltage electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and installation instructions, with strong basic electrical and low-voltage knowledge.
• Comfort working with hand and power tools, ladder work, and performing physical tasks such as routing and securing cabling.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to systematically diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Clear, professional communication skills to interact with customers and team members, and ability to provide user guidance on installed systems.
• Reliable time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently on-site while following company procedures and safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to travel locally to customer locations as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in electronics, low-voltage systems, or security technology are beneficial.
• Willingness to undergo any required background checks consistent with local laws and industry expectations.
• Previous experience in security, electrical, telecommunications, or related technical trades is a plus.
