Job summary

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. is hiring Security Agents at San Diego International Airport. The role includes inspecting equipment, screening cargo, and monitoring aircraft and gates per customer specifications.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with raises by year of service; pre-employment drug screen and background checks are required. Equal opportunity employer. Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid US driver’s license, be a US citizen, and be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items.
• Screen cargo and monitor aircraft, passengers, and gate areas as specified by the client.
• Observe unit activity and surroundings when not performing inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspects airline equipment and checks for any unauthorized items.
• Screenscargo using equipment/method designated by customer and according to customer’s specifications.
• Performs aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding and gate guarding according to customer’s specifications.
• Observes and monitors unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection/validation duties.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
• Reports to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on size of unit.
• Activities overseen by Lead or Senior Lead, depending on size of unit.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Current Wage Rate: $20.00

1 Year of Service: $20.20

2nd Year of Service: $20.40

3rd Year of Service: $21.22

4th Year of Service: $21.64

Requirements:

• New employees required to complete an FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and a confirmed 10-year background check (10 year listed; 5 year verified)
• Not have been convicted of any of the listed FAA Disqualifying Crimes;.
• Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be willing to work in cold temperatures, as it is a requirement for this role.
