Job summary

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. is hiring Security Agents for the Honolulu International Airport in Honolulu, HI. The position offers $20.00 per hour with medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company matching, and paid vacation & holidays.

Responsibilities include inspecting airline equipment, screening cargo, monitoring aircraft and gates, and reporting to supervisory staff. Candidates must pass FBI fingerprint checks and background checks, be at least 18, and have a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• FBI fingerprint check and 10-year background check required.
• 18+ years old and valid US driver’s license.
• Ability to bend, push and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect airline equipment for unauthorized items.
• Screen cargo per customer specifications.
• Monitor aircraft, passengers and gates as assigned.
• Observe unit activity and surroundings when not inspecting.
• Report to Operations Supervisor/Manager.
• Work under Lead or Senior Lead when applicable.
• Willing to work in cold temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspects airline equipment and checks for any unauthorized items.
• Screenscargo using equipment/method designated by customer and according to customer’s specifications.
• Performs aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding and gate guarding according to customer’s specifications.
• Observes and monitors unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection/validation duties.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
• Reports to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on size of unit.
• Activities overseen by Lead or Senior Lead, depending on size of unit.
• Must be willing to work in cold temperatures, as it is a requirement for this role.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Requirements:

• New employees required to complete an FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and a confirmed 10-year background check (10 year listed; 5 year verified)
• Not have been convicted of any of the listed FAA Disqualifying Crimes;.
• Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
