Job summary

IDR, Inc. is seeking a Security Administrator to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. This entry-level contractor role supports the Cybersecurity team by performing foundational operational tasks under close guidance from senior analysts.

You will monitor security alerts with SIEM and other tools, review logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus and endpoint protection, and investigate suspected phishing emails. Documentation and escalation follow established procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Security Admin role.
• 1+ years of hands-on cybersecurity principles, threats and incidents.
• Familiarity with SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection and email security platforms.
• Experience with Active Directory or Entra ID.
• Basic understanding of PowerShell (Preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

• 2+ years of experience working in a Security Admin role
• 1+ years of hands-on experience cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and incident
• Familiarity with Security tools such as SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection and email security platforms
• Experience with Active Directory or Entra ID
• Basic understanding of Powershell (Preferred)
