Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking an Security Specialist II to provide administrative and personnel security support for the security unit. The role involves processing clearances, issuing badges, maintaining records, and coordinating briefings in a federal contractor environment.

Ideal candidates will have an associate’s degree or equivalent training, knowledge of NISPOM requirements, and strong communication and computer skills. Regular office duties with potential travel to remote sites may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent military or technical training.
• Formal training such as Industrial Security Management Course.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM pertaining to security.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, graphics software, and database management.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and personnel security support to the unit manager and security staff.
• Communicate with clearance granting agency regarding status of clearances and reinvestigations.
• Obtain certification of existing clearance levels for employees/consultants and prospective employees.
• Issue security badges to designated employees and visitors.
• Maintain logs and records of badges and related information.
• Schedule initial, periodic and exit briefings and notify supervisors and employees.
• Coordinate with employees/consultants for timely submittal of documents for clearances and reinvestigations; fingerprint as required.
• Assist in facilitating security briefings for individuals/groups.
• Provide work direction to clerical staff.
• Perform other related tasks as directed.
