Job summary

Allied Universal in Carson City, NV is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Access Coordination. You will monitor access points, support badge-related processes, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service.

This role requires a guard card or license if applicable, access control experience, and being at least 18 (21 for armed roles). A high school diploma, background check, and drug screen are required where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns per site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities and access points.
• Monitor access activity and verify visitor/contractor authorization; maintain documentation.
• Report unusual activity and security concerns to site contacts and leadership.
