Job summary

AGS, an Akima company, is seeking a Guard II in Albuquerque, NM to support our federal security program. You will answer calls, greet visitors, verify credentials, and route messages to the Security Team Lead.

This on-site role requires a High School diploma, a Secret clearance, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of public-facing experience. You will maintain badge inventories, logs, and weekly metrics to protect facilities and people.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Secret Security Clearance required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of experience dealing with the public.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, greet visitors, respond to security emails, take messages and route calls to Security Team Lead.
• Inventory and ensure all badges are present and/or accounted for at the beginning and end of each tour of duty and maintain a record of all badges issued.
• Verify visitor identification from a picture ID, validate visitor clearance status and process badges in the DISS system; call SSO when applicable.
• Maintain accurate forms, databases and logs for all daily visits and badge inventories; compose, edit and prepare memorandums and reports for review by Security Team Lead.
• Provide escort duties as needed and ensure proper badge handling and access control.
