Job summary

US Army Medical Command is recruiting for a Command Security Specialist to serve as the security SME for the Personnel Security Program across the command and its subordinate activities.

The role includes acting as Foreign Disclosure Representative, coordinating disclosure actions for classified information with foreign government partners and providing security oversight of Information Security programs.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Command Security Specialist and Security Subject Matter Expert, responsible for authoritative information and service for the Personnel Security Program as it applies to U.S. Army Medical Command and its subordinate activities.
• As the Foreign Disclosure Representative, coordinates specific disclosure actions for the disclosure of Classified Military Information to foreign government representatives in support of approved U.S. Army international programs.
• Security Specialist for the Information Security program.
• Interprets security regulations and directives promulgated by Executive Orders, DoD Directives and regulations, Defense Intelligence Agency, Dept. of the Army, and Army Medical Command.
• Reviews and approves Contract Security Classification Specifications for contracts involving classified information to ensure compliance with DoD Industrial Security Regulations.
• Reviews operations security procedures in order to deny adversaries information about facility capabilities.
• Develops Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection policies and procedures and upon approval implements and/or oversee the actions and activities.
• Organizes, creates, executes physical security plans, policy and evaluates its effectiveness throughout the command.
