Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Asset Management seeks an Asset Management, Securitized Private Credit Analyst – Associate/VP in Columbus, OH, with a second location in New York. You will join the Global Securitized Credit team, underwriting and evaluating opportunities across ABS, CLO, and CMBS, coordinating with PMs and investment committees.

You will draft credit memos, build models, monitor portfolios and help nurture relationships with issuers, banks and clients.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in an origination, credit, and/or capital markets role.
• Prior experience in buy-side credit investing preferred; or prior experience in investment banking.
• Strong understanding of ABF credit and legal terminology, markets, underwriting credit and covenant analysis.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Intex and Trepp is a plus.
• Preferred location either Columbus or New York; willingness to travel from either location.

Responsibilities

• Help manage and build relationships within and across JPMorgan, issuers, investment bankers, legal and other third party partners
• Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Investment Committee to understand portfolio positioning, investment philosophy, process and credit culture
• Be a key member of investment teams, providing market and borrower insights to the investment process
• Participate in the underwriting, structuring, negotiation, pricing and closing of private ABF transactions
• Draft credit memorandums and construct credit models for new transactions
• Monitor and produce surveillance reports on portfolio performance
• Analyze collateral performance data and corporate financial statements as part of transaction analysis
