Job summary

DTCC is seeking a Securities Processing Senior Associate in New Jersey to oversee daily operations, manage a team, and drive process improvements. You will track performance, ensure quality, and escalate issues while coaching staff to enhance performance and efficiency.

The role focuses on supporting certificate custody services and ensuring client needs are met with timely responses and adherence to controls. Leadership, collaboration, and process discipline are essential to success at DTCC.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises day-to-day activities of a designated team. Ensures strict adherence to procedures and critical timeframes; ability to manage competing priorities. Directly manages people.
  • Strong evaluator with focus on development of others to perform by providing ongoing feedback and by providing opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods.
  • Identifies and mitigates risk by having knowledge of department controls with the ability to spot key opportunities and identify root cause issues.
  • Maintains a steadfast focus on meeting the needs/requests of our internal and external clients, including responding to inquiries timely and accurately, resolving issues promptly.
  • Understands and applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized business functions. Writes/maintains procedures and job aids. Identifies procedure gaps, updates procedures to fill gaps as directed.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, active engagement in meetings, and displays curiosity to learn and grow; accepts feedback given and applies to role. Presents information clearly while speaking in small to mid-sized groups .
  • Assists in benchmark tracking, audit follow-up, compliance, and risk management activities.
  • Participates and owns team impacting projects and initiatives.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

The Impact You Will Have In This Role

Securities Processing Operations provides support for certificates that represent full-service assets held by DTCC's participants in the name of Cede & Co. Securities Processing also provides Custody Service where participants can outsource the handling and servicing of physical securities that are not or cannot be held through its regular depository service.

The Securities Processing Senior Associate is responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations within the department, ensuring effective task coordination, appropriate coverage, and workload allocation. The role entails tracking performance metrics, analyzing productivity, and reporting results to management. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing process improvements, maintaining quality standards, resolving workflow issues and escalations, and serving as a key operational resource for the team. The position also directly manages staff, providing coaching, feedback, training, and development opportunities to enhance employee performance, productivity, and quality of work.

Your Primary Responsibilities
