Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Securities Operations & Settlements role based in Portland, OR. The position is responsible for overseeing daily securities trade processing, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement across multiple asset classes. The role involves monitoring settlement timelines, reconciling positions and cash, investigating and resolving breaks, and coordinating with custodians, brokers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely settlement. The individual will maintain detailed documentation, support operational risk controls, and help implement process improvements and automation in securities operations workflows. The role also includes assisting with regulatory reporting, adhering to internal policies and procedures, and supporting audits and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

• Security Operations Center and Incident Response skills to monitor, detect, and manage security-related events in operational environments.
• Cybersecurity and Network Security skills to safeguard systems, data, and connectivity supporting securities processing and settlements.
• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex trade, settlement, and reconciliation data and identify discrepancies or risks.
• Experience in securities operations, settlements, or middle/back-office functions within financial services.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle, clearing and settlement processes, and relevant market practices and regulations.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, reconciliation tools, and operations platforms; familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
