Responsibilities

• Support daily securities operations, including trade processing and settlement activities.
• Perform cash, position, and trade reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Research and resolve settlement breaks, failed trades, and other operational exceptions.
• Assist with corporate actions processing, including elections and related adjustments.
• Work with custodians, clearing firms, and external counterparties to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure transactions are processed in accordance with procedures and controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.

About the Role

We are seeking a Securities Operations Specialist to support daily operational activities within a growing financial services organization. This role will focus on securities processing, trade settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, and resolving operational discrepancies. The ideal candidate has experience in financial services operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily securities operations, including trade processing and settlement activities.
• Perform cash, position, and trade reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Research and resolve settlement breaks, failed trades, and other operational exceptions.
• Assist with corporate actions processing, including mandatory and voluntary events, elections, and related adjustments.
• Work with internal teams, custodians, clearing firms, and other external counterparties to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure transactions are processed in accordance with established procedures and controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in securities operations, trade settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, trade support, or middle-office operations.
• Knowledge of equities and/or fixed income products.
• Familiarity with DTC/DTCC or other clearing and settlement platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
