Job summary

The Colorado Attorney General's Office in Denver seeks an Assistant Attorney General to join the Professional Boards and Programs Unit. You will litigate and provide general counsel to clients across licensed professions, defending Coloradans through regulatory enforcement and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a Colorado Bar admission or be eligible to waive in, a solid litigation background, and excellent writing and client communication skills.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Colorado Bar or eligible to waive into the Colorado Bar and in good standing at start.
• Litigation background with ability to handle negotiations, litigation, and trials independently and effectively.
• Excellent writing and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle litigation, negotiation/mediation, hearings, and appeals for clients.
• Prosecute license suspensions and oppose actions to seal criminal records.
• Advise boards and program directors on litigation and general legal issues.
• Attend board meetings as general counsel for client boards and programs.
• Provide training to DOL attorneys and client staff, as needed.
• Assist other attorneys with client counseling and litigation for various unit clients.
