Job summary

Morrison Foerster is seeking an attorney with 3–6 years of significant law firm experience in securities, complex commercial, and/or business litigation to join our Securities Litigation Practice Group.

You will contribute to high-profile matters with strong research and writing, substantive motion practice, discovery, depositions, and case strategy, and you must be admitted to the bar where you practice or eligible for admission by waiver. Boston-based opportunity in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of significant law firm experience in securities, complex commercial, and/or business litigation.
• Experience handling disputes involving federal and state securities laws, shareholder claims, fiduciary duties and corporate governance, class actions, and other complex business matters.
• Experience with Massachusetts Business Litigation Session (BLS) and/or SEC investigations is a plus.
• Strong legal research and writing, substantive motion practice, discovery, deposition experience.
• Ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing, with a commitment to delivering excellent client service.

We handle federal and state securities class actions, derivative suits, merger litigation, shareholder disputes, and other complex corporate and business litigation. Who You Are

• You have 3 to 6 years of significant law firm experience in securities, complex commercial, and/or business litigation.
• You have experience handling sophisticated disputes involving federal and state securities laws, shareholder claims, fiduciary duties and corporate governance, class actions, and other complex business matters.
• Experience with complex commercial dockets, including the Massachusetts Business Litigation Session (BLS), and/or with SEC investigations, internal investigations, and related regulatory or enforcement matters is a plus.
• You have strong experience with legal research and writing, substantive motion practice, discovery, depositions, and case strategy.
• You have the ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing, and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
• You have a strong work ethic, a collaborative approach, and an interest in taking on increasing levels of responsibility.
• You are admitted to the bar in the state in which you practice or are eligible for admission by waiver.

The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience (including class year); and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.

Boston, MA annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000

New York, NY annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000

San Francisco, CA annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000
