Job summary

LHH is assisting a growing law firm in its search for a Securities / Capital Markets Associate. This role centers on capital markets matters, including IPOs and SPACs, with cross-border experience particularly valuable for our sophisticated client base.

The team operates on a five-day, in-office schedule with no hybrid or remote option. Applicants should have a JD or equivalent from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar; Mandarin skills are welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• Capital markets experience is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience preferred.
• JD from an accredited law school with New York admission.

LHH is assisting a growing law firm in its search for a Securities / Capital Markets Associate. This is an opportunity for an attorney with strong capital markets experience to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment serving a sophisticated client base, approximately 90% of which consists of U.S. companies with a footprint in China.

The associate will work on capital markets matters and transactions, with IPO, SPAC, and cross-border experience particularly valuable. Given the firm's international client base, Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are preferred but not required.

The Opportunity

This role offers significant exposure to sophisticated capital markets work and direct collaboration within a growing firm. The team works closely together and maintains a five-day, in-office schedule with no hybrid or remote option.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience preferred
• Capital markets experience is required
• IPO, SPAC, and/or cross-border transactional experience is a plus
• Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are preferred, but not required
• Strong interest in working with U.S. companies that have operations or business interests in China
• Academic pedigree is less important than substantive capital markets experience
• JD from an accredited law school, or relevant LLM credentials where applicable
• Admission to practice law in New York
