Job summary

AmLaw 100 law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Securities Group in either New York or Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of meaningful transactional experience in M&A, real estate transactions, capital markets, or SPACs.

Applicants should have a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted with NY or DC Bar. Midsize/large firm experience and strong academic credentials are preferred.

Job description

Our client, a leading full-service AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Securities Group in either its New York or Washington, D.C. office.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of meaningful transactional experience in one or more of the following areas: M&A's, real estate transactions, capital markets, or SPACs, gained at a midsize or large law firm. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated securities practice and work alongside attorneys on complex transactional matters.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with a variety of securities and transactional matters, including public and private offerings and related corporate transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis and assist with drafting and reviewing transaction documents and securities-related materials.
  • Support clients and deal teams through various stages of complex transactions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to provide comprehensive legal and strategic support to clients.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of meaningful experience in M&A's, real estate transactions, capital markets, SPACs, or a closely related transactional practice.
  • '33 Act and '34 Act experience.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission and good standing with either the New York or D.C. Bar.
  • Experience at a midsize or large law firm preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Productive, positive, and collaborative approach to work.
