Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Systems Administrator to support a Naval NSWCDD program in Dahlgren, VA. You will handle AD accounts, JWICS-related access, and desktop support while logging all incidents in ServiceNow and keeping users informed during outages.

Requires 2–3 years IT experience, Windows/Linux familiarity, and DoD IA IAT II readiness. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with security and asset-tracking responsibilities also in scope.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional IT experience in desktop support.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Windows AD and LAN/WAN environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist users with account creation requests in AD, password resets, and token/PKI troubleshooting for JWICS.
• Perform initial troubleshooting on hardware, peripherals, and software connectivity issues.
• Log inquiries and incidents into ServiceNow as ITSM data.
• Provide desktop support for standard apps, email configuration, and mapping secure drives/printers.
• Escalate unresolved issues to ONI Hopper or DIA service desks with logs.
• Track ticket status and provide ETA updates to users.
• Disseminate outage updates during enterprise events from ONI Hopper/DIA.
• Coordinate with ONI Hopper logisticians for repair/replacement of secure terminals.
• Ensure users follow security and acceptable use policies for JWICS devices.
• Audit JWICS hardware assets and align with ONI/DIA records.
• Report security anomalies or tampering to security and ONI/DIA teams.
• Provide orientation to new users on equipment and support procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
