Job summary

Steampunk, Inc. seeks a Software / Integration Engineer to design, develop, and integrate software solutions across authorized environments.

You will enable secure data exchange, configurable logging, and audit trails to meet security and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with software, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud teams, you’ll implement secure interoperability, monitor data flows, and document integrations while applying CI/CD and Agile practices throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software engineering, systems integration, or related disciplines.
• Strong programming and modern development framework experience.
• Experience designing integrations between applications, systems, or platforms.
• Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and audit capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain software integrations across applications and platforms.
• Develop integration components, services, and interfaces for secure data exchange.
• Implement and support integrations within defined security and operational boundaries.
• Develop configurable logging to support monitoring, auditing, and security requirements.
• Ensure logs support traceability and ingestion into enterprise monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk).
• Implement audit trails for system activities and data exchanges.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud teams to secure integrations.
• Follow version control, CI/CD practices, and Agile development lifecycle.
