Job summary

Bridge Core is seeking a Senior Software Developer / A&A Engineer in Herndon, VA to design, develop, and secure enterprise applications. The role emphasizes secure software engineering, risk assessments, and A&A preparations within an Agile team, using C#/.NET primarily, with Java or C++ as strengths.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support security tasks, reviews, and documentation, and contribute to modernization efforts in a government mission context.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in security engineering and A&A processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, Kotlin, or C++).
• Experience with source control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and services.
• Develop readable, maintainable, and secure software.
• Troubleshoot defects and production issues.
• Review code and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Collaborate with customers and team members to clarify requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in planning, testing, and releases.
• Support and improve existing applications including legacy systems.
• Complete security-related A&A tasks, such as risk assessments and preparing authorization packages.
