Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a versatile software engineer with TS/SCI clearance to join a small agile team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will design, develop, and maintain secure software for government customers, translating mission needs into robust technical specifications.

You will conduct code reviews, unit and integration testing, and support DevSecOps pipelines to enable rapid, secure deployments in a compliance-focused environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and in-scope full-scope polygraph required on Day 1.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in federal or defense environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
• Experience with secure coding practices and working in classified environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control (Git).
• Willing to work 5 days per week in SCIF in Annapolis Junction, MD
