Job summary

Sellers & Associates, LLC seeks a versatile Low-Code / Application Developer to design, configure, and extend secure applications using low-code platforms in government environments. The role emphasizes hands-on coding to integrate, customize, and secure solutions with DoD compliance.

Responsibilities include leveraging Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Dataverse) and extending with custom code, plus administering databases and cloud services while ensuring QA and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred; 6+ years of relevant experience can substitute for degree.
• Experience building and integrating applications on low-code platforms (2-4 years), preferably in government environments.
• Proficiency with Power Platform tools: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language to extend/integrate low-code apps: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or PowerShell.
• Experience with at least one RDBMS and SQL query writing (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience developing/hosting apps or data solutions in Azure or AWS.
• Git for source control and team-based development.
• Strong software testing, debugging, QA practices; attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Jira/Agile methodologies.
• DoD IT environments experience (IL4/IL5/IL6 or DoD STIGs).
• DevOps tools: GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable applications using low-code platforms (Power Platform) in federal/DoD environments.
• Extend low-code apps with custom code (front-end, back-end, APIs) to meet mission requirements.
• Integrate low-code systems into secure government environments (on-prem databases, cloud services).
• Gather requirements, design wireframes, build prototypes, and implement solutions with customers.
• Deliver features across front-end, server-side, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Create and execute test plans including unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
• Write clear, maintainable code with emphasis on testability and quality.
• Manage databases (SQL Server, Dataverse, Redis) and ensure data integrity; use Git for collaboration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, functional applications.
