Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to build secure, scalable REST APIs using Python and Flask for enterprise programs. You will own features end-to-end, strengthen CI/CD with integrated security, and collaborate with product, security, and operations to deliver compliant services.

You will design Flask-based APIs, implement secure auth, containerize with Docker, and use IaC with Terraform/Ansible while contributing tests, documentation, and postmortems in an Agile

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python and Flask for secure RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of authN/authZ and OWASP Top 10.
• Hands-on with Git, Linux, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with databases (SQL/ORM).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Flask-based REST APIs and backend services.
• Implement secure data access layers and OAuth2/JWT authentication.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with security scanning.
• Create and maintain automated tests and quality gates.
• Containerize services with Docker and support orchestration patterns.
• Use IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and configuration management.
• Integrate security scanning and remediate findings.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting; support runbooks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.
• Produce API docs and compliance artifacts.
