Job summary

Peraton is seeking an IT Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure data solutions for a NIST 800-53 compliant enclave supporting the FAA BNATCS contract. You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines, manage data warehouses, and build dashboards with BI tools while collaborating with cybersecurity and compliance teams to meet federal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5 years of data engineering experience with integrations, warehousing, and visualization.
• Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP compliance.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT tools.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with BI tools and data modeling; ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure data solutions for a NIST 800-53 enclave.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines across sources and environments.
• Architect secure data warehouses (on‑premises or cloud) and optimize storage.
• Create dashboards/reports using BI tools and translate business needs into visuals.
