Job summary

State Street is seeking a Secure Configuration Systems Engineer to join the Cyber Architecture & Engineering team. You will design, implement, and support secure configuration management and system hardening across multiple environments, leveraging Ansible, Chef, and Terraform.

The role emphasizes collaboration, risk assessment with the NIST framework, and ongoing development of security tooling and processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field with 3+ years of experience.
Experience with Agile Development, DevOps, System Hardening, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity.
Excellent verbal and written communication across organizations.
Ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels.

Responsibilities

Ensure Security Configuration best practices are implemented and adhered to.
Establish Secure Baseline configurations for ITAM assets.
Develop custom solutions using Ansible, Chef, Terraform, and shell scripting.
Conduct risk assessments based on NIST for critical assets.
Create security guidelines, policies, and procedures for the Secure Configuration framework.
Collaborate with engineers to promote configuration best practices across the organization.
Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop holistic technical solutions.
Deliver tasks on project objectives and support projects to completion.
Ensure deliverables meet timeframes and quality standards.
