Job summary

State Street is seeking a Secure Configuration Systems Engineer to join the Cyber Architecture & Engineering team in the Atlanta area. You will design, implement, and support secure configuration management practices across applications and infrastructure, leveraging scripting and automation to harden systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with Agile, DevOps, system hardening, DevSecOps.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across internal/external teams.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef) and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security configuration best practices are implemented.
• Establish secure baseline configurations for ITAM assets.
• Develop custom configuration controls using Ansible, Chef, Inspec.
• Conduct risk assessments using the NIST framework.
• Create security guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to promote configuration best practices across the organization.
• Deliver tasks on project objectives and support completion.
