Job summary

Vantor is hiring an API/Java/Python Developer to join our Services team in the Washington area, delivering a comprehensive set of system/software engineering and IT services for government customers. You will develop high-performance API-driven services and data-ingest pipelines that support analytic data organization and secure storage.

The role focuses on writing secure, cloud-ready code for Develop-Low / Deploy-High workflows in unclassified enterprise ecosystems and cross-domain environments.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in software development.
• Experience Java and Python in real-world projects.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Python frameworks.
• Build and integrate backend services, data pipelines, and enterprise components.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, data engineers, and UI/UX developers to implement end-to-end solutions.
• Develop automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes within Agile environments.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and integration challenges across distributed systems.
• Support cloud-native deployments, containerization, and secure software development practices.
