Job summary

JT4, LLC seeks a Section Supervisor in Cybersecurity at China Lake to lead daily security operations, assess and implement controls, and coordinate with government counterparts. Ideal candidate will have an active Secret clearance and strong supervisory and analytical skills.

This on-site role requires collaboration with the CLR Enterprise Security Team and familiarity with Range IT Infrastructure; travel and field environment may be required, with no telework eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with NAWCWD/NAVAIR China Lake Ranges Department policies and operations workflow (1+ year in Range IT Infrastructure).
• At least 1 year experience in J-Tech II Annex 4 Cybersecurity supporting the CLR Enterprise Security Team.

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

JT4, LLC is looking for a Section Supervisor in the Cybersecurity department. The position will assist in leading the daily duties to include: assessing, developing and implementing programs and controls set in place to help increase cybersecurity within our company.The Section Supervisor will be detail-oriented, have great problem-solving and analytical skills, along with excellent communication ability to collaborate with government counterparts.

An ideal candidate will have an active Secret clearance

JOB DUTIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The incumbent performs a variety of supervisory/management tasks involved in supervising work efforts of personnel assigned to a shop or work unit.

Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:

• Supervises the performance of work performed by employees assigned to the shop or work unit
• Sets employee work schedules and accounts for time worked by section employees
• Explains or interprets company policy to subordinates
• Evaluates and documents employee performance
• Makes recommendations on wage actions
• Interviews and makes related hiring recommendations on prospective employees when unit vacancies occur
• Contributes to the development of operations/expense budgets for the group and controls costs and resources accordingly
• Provides point of contact (POC) with company technical employees, managers and customer representatives
• Performs other related supervisory tasks and duties as directed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have familiarity with NAWCWD/NAVAIR China Lake Ranges Department's organizational policies, procedures and overall operations workflow (at least 1 or more years in any rolesupporting Range IT Infrastructure).
• Must have at least 1 year or more experience working within the J-Tech II Annex 4 Cybersecurity department (supporting the CLR Enterprise Security Team (DB1360M)), in support of China Lake Range Accreditation packages

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

The incumbent must possess a base knowledge sufficient to oversee the performance of technically diverse tasks assigned to the Shop. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interface with effectively direct subordinates. This knowledge and these skills may be obtained by graduation from a two to four-year technical institute or college, or possess equivalent formal technical training or military equivalent and two (2) or more years of experience in a directly related technical working environment.

In addition, a Section Supervisor I must possess the following qualifications:

• Must have an in-depth working knowledge of the technical concepts, principles and requirements associated with the work unit
• Must have a practical knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices sufficient to perform as an effective supervisor

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $85,946 to $120,000 annually.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.

Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet. Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel, or shingled roof. Climbing stairs, ladders, towers and scaffolds, indoors or outdoors is required. Government vehicle is used on an as needed basis. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Ability to work in a field environment with some shift work, at remote locations with occasional overnight assignments. Travel to remote working locations required.
