Job summary

RTX’s ASDS SBU is seeking a Section Leader in the Engineering Execution Team (EET) focused on the Strike Initiatives SSBU. The role is 100% onsite in Woburn, MA, leading IPT Leaders and guiding department staffing, performance, and talent development. Qualified candidates will have a STEM degree, 10+ years of experience, and an active Secret clearance.

U.S. citizenship is required. The role emphasizes leadership, policy alignment, and program execution within a global aerospace and defense

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team.
• Oversee direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance impact, career development, and talent acquisition.
• Support department and SBU-level initiatives.
• Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversight of personnel issue resolution.
• Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors.
• Maintain program position as an IPT Lead; Section Leader duties account for approximately 15% of the employee’s time.

Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) specializes in multi-integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. Focused on program execution, business growth and the highest level of customer satisfaction, the ASDS team provides customers with unmatched capabilities of detection and sensing, command and control, and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and surface-to-air munitions to accomplish air, space and missile defense missions.

The ASDS SBU is seeking a Section Leader in the Engineering Execution Team (EET) Department focused on the Strike Initiatives SSBU. As a Section Leader, the candidate will be expected to actively participate in EET leadership team goals and initiatives, support department hiring and program staffing, and provide employee feedback and mentoring.

This position provides an opportunity to grow your skillset by contributing to the development of our workforce. Given the unique role‑based model of the department, the candidate will need to be an existing Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) within EET. This position is 100% onsite in Woburn, MA.

Qualifications

You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Current IPT Lead role within the ASDS EET.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the Tactical Strike or Specter product areas.
• Experience with team leadership.
• Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system.
• Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc.).
• Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.
