Job summary

RTX in Portsmouth, RI seeks a Section Leader for the Radars and Sensors Center to lead a team of Integrated logistic specialists and drive department goals. You will mentor staff, manage performance, and coordinate with sister teams on program staffing and initiatives.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, Navy system experience, and rigorous budget/process discipline, with onsite work and a clear pathway to career development within RTX.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Navy Systems and Products.
• Knowledge of the Performance Development process.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team.
• Experience with EVMS or similar budget tracking system.
• Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process.
• Experience implementing business and program improvements through process methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Integrated logistic specialists.
• Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team.
• Oversee direct line management activities: communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition.
• Collaborate with other sections and teams.
• Support department and directorate level initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee resolution of personnel issues and timecard approvals.
• Perform as technical lead or individual contributor; ~10% leadership time.
• Position is onsite Portsmouth RI.
