Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration seeks a Plastic Surgeon to serve as Chief of the Plastic Surgery section at C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center. The role emphasizes leadership, clinical excellence, education, and program development within a VA academic hospital.

Ideal candidates will be experienced, communicative team players who can advance quality care standards and growth of the surgical services program. On-site duties at Bay Pines and affiliated facilities are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD/DO with board eligibility/certification in Plastic Surgery.
• Residency in Plastic Surgery approved by ACGME/AOA or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and mentor residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical care, education, research, and administrative tasks for the Plastic Surgery section.
• Provide leadership and strategic planning for surgical services at Bay Pines VA and affiliated facilities.
• Supervise surgeons, residents, medical students, and staff; ensure quality patient care.
• Engage in recruitment, education, and program development within the VA academic hospital setting.
