Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers in Savannah, GA seeks a Section Chief to lead the District Cost Engineering and Value Engineering Programs. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and supervising cost estimating, cost control, and related analyses for Civil Works, MILCON, and HTRW projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer license (P.E.) in good standing.
License/registration as Professional Architect or Engineer required (as applicable).
Experience in cost estimating, cost engineering, and value engineering for civil/military projects.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, direct and supervise cost estimating, cost engineering, and cost control for Civil Works, MILCON, and HTRW projects.
Prepare Civil Works base bid project cost estimates for congressional presentations and sponsor cost sharing.
Provide estimating support to Value Engineering and review bid estimates and contractor pricing for reasonableness.
Lead the Integration Team and cost engineering functions across Savannah District and related districts.
