Job summary

Fellowes Brands in Aurora is seeking an experienced warehouse supervisor to coordinate receiving, locating and picking activities.

You will lead a team, coach employees, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. The role requires forklift operation, RF device familiarity, and strong communication skills, with a focus on process improvement and training.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in distribution preferred (3+ years).
  • Strong leadership, safety, and quality focus.
  • Experience with RF devices and PIV training is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate receiving, locating, and picking functions. Empower team members team to achieve team goals. Coach work group and ensure that internal customer service requirements are met.

  • Coordinate activities of the department to ensure that all work schedules are completed and goals met. Work in conjunction with lead/supervisor to assist in coordinating the activities of the department to ensure all workschedules are completed and goals met.   • Facilitate and/or assist with pre-shift meetings, stretching, and/or safety meetings.
  • Operate various types of forklifts to move product through the distribution process including unloading, put away, picking, and loading process, which may include hand loading and unloading of containers.
  • Prepare product for inbound receipt and/or shipment including palletizing, repalletizing, carton labeling and ensuring that all warehouse and customer requirements are met.
  • Work and assist in directing team members in the receiving, locating, picking, and/or shipping of product.
  • Other related and similar duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules and guidelines in order to prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Work a 40 hour work schedule. Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance. Available to work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.
  • Physical presence at designated worksite.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions and procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Successfully complete and pass required Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and test and obtain and maintain appropriate PIV licensing.
  • Use Radio Frequency (RF) units.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and coach employees to improve performance.
  • Exercise critical thinking and demonstrate prudent judgment when making important decisions independently. Retain objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under stressful conditions.
  • Proficiency with PC and ability to use Oracle and Microsoft Suite.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred, will consider equivalent work experience of 3+ years' experience in a distribution environment.
  • Assist in achieving results in cycle time reduction, waste reduction, and process elimination.

Perform repetitive tasks as required.

Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching and stretching with hands, arm, legs and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for position.

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
