Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and tests on incoming parts, in-process parts, assemblies and finished goods to ensure quality standards and process controls.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Provide feedback on improving departmental processes and performance goals.
  • Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections; generate and maintain records.
  • Provide timely feedback on incoming product status to Quality, Receiving, Manufacturing, and Distribution; initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Act as liaison to suppliers regarding quality problems; use RF units as required.
  • Maintain neat work area and assist with training other team members.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct inspections and perform tests on incoming parts, in-process parts, assemblies and finished goods to ensure quality standards and process controls are being met. Provide support for Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes,performance goals and environment.
  • Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections, providing reporting as appropriate. Reference control plans, generate and maintains SPC charts.
  • Generate, review, and documents results of inspections and testing of partsfor compliance to drawing specifications. Properly maintain paper andelectronic (PDF or other) records.
  • Provide timely feedback on the status of incoming product to Quality,Receiving, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution (Receive, Hold, RWK, Ship,etc.). Initiate corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Act as liaison to parts suppliers, and initiate contact regarding qualityproblems (phone/email).
  • Maintain a neat and orderly personal work area and assists with keepingother areas in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Other related and similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Work a 40-hour work schedule. Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance. Available to work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.
  • Physical presence at designated work site.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Successfully complete and pass required lift truck operation tests and training, and obtain and maintain appropriate lift truck licensing.
  • Use RF (radio frequency) units.
  • Must have High School Diploma (or G.E.D.).
  • Some college course work completed and/or pursuit of continuing education.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office (Oracle Systems a plus).
  • Math skills must include understanding of English and Metric systems, decimals, and fractions.
  • Understand and interpret 2d drawings, specifications, etc.
  • Proficient in the use of metrology equipment including calipers, micrometers,indicators, go/no go gages, and other inspection equipment.
  • Some background in manufacturing and/or quality discipline preferred.
  • Excellent analytical / problem solving skills with the ability to interpret resultsleading to corrective action.
  • Work with minimal or no supervision. Self-directed, follow instructions, andinteract well with others.
Physical Requirements:

Perform repetitive tasks as required.

Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching and stretching with hands, arm, legs and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for position.

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
