SECRETARY TO THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
Job Summary
To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the office and to continuously improve efficiency and accuracy in the performance of job responsibilities. This position falls under the Highlands Educational Support Professionals Association contract.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates requests of district facilities, following the Use of Facilities guidelines and fees
- Enters Board approved Use of Facilities into ML Schedules
- Maintains list of first year teachers and their assigned mentors for induction purposes
- Manages enrollment of new teachers into induction, as required by the PDE
- Provides documentation and request to the business office for mentor payment at year end
- Notifies and registers teachers and administrators for various workshops/conferences
- Enters absences into AESOP, as needed, to assist Superintendent's Secretary
- Tracks information in Comply to assist Superintendent's Secretary
- Maintains Assistant Superintendent's calendar
- Updates Emergency Operations Plan, as needed
- Updates district contact lists, as needed
- Fields communication, inquiries and requests for information to the Assistant Superintendent
- Submits requisitions for supplies and resources to Assistant Superintendent's office
- Performs record keeping, both confidential and non-confidential
- Performs clerical work
- Maintains confidentiality with all district information
- Performs in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws
- Performs other duties, as assigned
Travel Requirements
Travel between central office and schools, as may be required
