The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) seeks a GS-5/GS-6 secretarial and administrative specialist at a commissary store. Primary duties include clerical, general office automation, typing, timekeeping and payroll liaison support, and basic supply-related tasks to assist store operations.
Applicants must meet OPM qualifications for series 0318, with the education or experience required for GS-5 or GS-6, and be prepared to document qualifications with transcripts if applicable.
This position is located at a commissary store within the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) system. At the full performance level, the primary purpose of this position is to perform secretarial, administrative, general clerical, and typing (office automation) duties and responsibilities. The incumbent may also perform personnel and payroll liaison assignments and supply-related duties in support of the store.

Four (4) full years of successfully completed education above high school at an accredited business, secretarial, technical school, junior college, college, or university. Transcripts are required if relying on education, in whole or in part, to qualify. See Required Documents for more information.

To calculate the combination, divide your total months of experience by 12, then divide your semester hours in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) by 60 and add the two percentages. If the total is 100%, you meet the minimum qualifications through a combination of experience and education.

One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
